Kathleen Precise Rielly Ward

WILMINGTON — Kathleen Precise Rielly Ward, 47, passed away Wednesday, March 6, 2013, after a lengthy and courageous bout with cancer. She was surrounded by her immediate family and several of her many close friends.

Kathleen was born May 29, 1965, at the Keene Valley Neighborhood House. She graduated from AuSable Valley Central School and Clinton Community College. She first worked in the restaurant field, managing the Saranac Inn Golf Course. There under the tutelage of the Golf Pro she became an avid golfer. She was then an agent for the Prudential Insurance Company. After her marriage to William Ward Jr. she helped managed their business Ward Forest Management.

She married William Ward Jr. Jan. 9, 1999, in Wilmington, and they resided on Bonnie View Road. She is survived by her husband Bill and their beautiful daughter, Mckenzie Rielly Ward; her parents, Carl and Ora Conroy Rielly of Upper Jay; her sister, Colleen Osborn and family of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; her mother-in-law, Kate Ward of Jay and countless family and friends who were always there for her.

She enjoyed golf, skiing, boating and gardening with her husband and daughter. The Ward family was also noted for their famous Halloween Extravaganzas. Think of Kathleen fondly when you are skiing at Whiteface, kayaking on a beautiful pond, searching for a lost golf ball or pulling weeds in your garden. Shout out her famous "Hey There," she will hear us.

A Quaker service was held at the time of her passing, attended by family and many of her close friends. A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Donations in her memory may be made to the organization of your choice.
