Randall "Randy" Napper

SARANAC — Randall "Randy" Napper, 58, of Soper Rd., Saranac passed away on Wednesday July 24, 2013, at his home with his devoted wife, Mary and his loving children at his side. Randy was born in Plattsburgh, on March 12, 1955, the son of Ellsworth and Shirley (Everleth) Napper. He graduated from Saranac Central School and attended Clinton Community College. He married his best friend, Mary Facteau, on July 6, 1974.

Throughout his lifetime, Randy had many jobs and always worked hard at whatever he did. He spoke very fondly of his time as an operating room technician at CVPH Medical Center and enjoyed being a Saranac Town Councilman for ten years. He also enjoyed being a bus driver for the Saranac Central School District for a brief period of time. He retired in Nov. 2011 as a Lieutenant for the New York State Department of Corrections where he completed 32 years of service. Randy was a lifelong member of the Saranac United Methodist Church.

Randy was truly a family man. His children and his grandchildren were always his first priority. He loved simple times together like family dinners, camping trips and holiday gatherings. He enjoyed traveling and was always there to help out with anything that needed to be done. Randy had an infectious smile and a special way of making everyone feel important to him.

Survivors include his wife, Mary (Facteau) Napper of Saranac; his children, Evan and Tammi Reil of Saranac and Neil and Missy Napper of Cadyville; his grandchildren, Jenna Reil, Grace Reil, Audrey Napper and Henry Napper; his mother, Shirley Napper of Saranac; his mother-in-law, Barbara Facteau also of Saranac; his siblings, Jeff and Jean Wray, Rick Napper, Todd and Lisa Napper, Pam and Scott Scholl, Debbie Napper, Sheila Facteau, Larry and Judy Facteau, Bob and Sandy Davidson, Tim and Diane Facteau, John and Linda Facteau, Tony and Sue Facteau and Shirley Boland.
