TICONDEROGA — Cecilia Rose (Ledger) Lambert, 88, of Appleton, Wis., former resident of Ticonderoga, N.Y., and most recently of Zephyrhills, Fla., died Wednesday, July 10, in Appleton.
Cecilia was born Oct. 29, 1924, in Ticonderoga, the daughter of Roland and Laura (Thomas) Ledger.
She married Frank David Lambert on Dec. 31, 1946. They were married 56 years until his death in 2002.
Cecilia was a homemaker and for many years worked at the Grand Union in Ticonderoga. She also was a member of the Catholic Daughters.
Cecilia enjoyed reading, knitting, crocheting and in her younger years fishing and traveling with her husband. She loved playing Bingo and was an avid player
Survivors include her six children, Cindy Smith and her husband Billy of Big Bend, Calif., Sharon Plouffe and her husband Bob of Colchester, Vt., Margo Labatore and her husband Fran of Appleton, Wis., Frank Lambert Jr. and his wife Peg of Kaukauna, Wis., Jim Lambert and his companion Robin Forand of Chilson, N.Y., and Cheryl Narreau and her husband David, of Plattsburgh, N.Y.; two brothers, Roland Ledger of Redwood City, Calif. and Robert Ledger of Witherbee, N.Y.; and one sister, Rosemary Hudon of Remsen, N.Y. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband and a brother, Donald Ledger.
A Graveside Service will take place on at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 17, at the family plot of the Valley View Cemetery of Ticonderoga. The Rev. Mr. Elliott A. Shaw will officiate.
