MORRISONVILLE - Mr. Leonard L. "Lenny" Macey, 69, of Westland Avenue, Morrisonville, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 24, 2013, at CVPH Medical Center with his family by his side.
He was born Nov. 2, 1944, in Plattsburgh, the son of Ross and Margaret (Connick) Macey.
A veteran of the U.S. Army, Leonard served in Germany from 1965 to 1967. He was currently employed at Plattsburgh Motor Service as Sales Manager, a position he has held for forty years.
He enjoyed going to roller derby matches, was an avid Jeff Gordon fan, enjoyed watching NASCAR, UFC matches and spending time with family and friends. He will be remembered as a generous, kind and gentle man.
Leonard was predeceased by his parents; a brother, Russell Macey; and a sister, Nancy Gebo. He is survived by his siblings, Ina and William Baker of Plattsburgh, Beverly Rivers of Morrisonville, Gary and Carol Macey of Morrisonville; two nieces he considered his daughters, Laurie Daniels and her husband Dan of Cadyville and Tammy Gebo of Peru; a good friend, Travis Willis; several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 28, at Brown Funeral Home, 29 Broad St., Plattsburgh. A funeral service will follow at 2:30 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. William Reamer, Chaplain at CVPH officiating.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Leonard's memory may be offered to the local food bank.
