Leonard L. "Lenny" Macey

MORRISONVILLE - Mr. Leonard L. "Lenny" Macey, 69, of Westland Avenue, Morrisonville, N.Y. died Tuesday, Dec. 24, 2013, at the CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh with his family by his side.

He was born in Plattsburgh on Nov. 2, 1944, the son of Ross and Margaret (Connick) Macey.

Leonard was a veteran of the U. S. Army from 1965 to 1967, serving in Germany. He enjoyed going to Roller Derby matches, watching NASCAR, UFC matches and spending time with family and friends. Leonard will be remembered as a generous, kind and gentle man.

He was predeceased by his parents; a brother, Russell Macey; and a sister Nancy Gebo.

He is survived by his siblings, Ina and William Baker of Plattsburgh, Beverly Rivers of Morrisonville, Gary and Carol Macey of Morrisonville, Leonard Macey of Morrisonville; two nieces he considered his daughters, Laurie Daniels and her husband Dan of Cadyville, Tammy Gebo of Peru; a good friend, Travis Willis; and several nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be held from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 28, at the Brown Funeral Home, 29 Broad St. in Plattsburgh. A funeral service will follow at 2:30 p.m. at the funeral home chapel with Rev. William Reamer, chaplain at CVPH officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations in Leonard's memory may be offered to the Local Food Bank. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Brown Funeral Home, 29 Broad St., Plattsburgh, N.Y.
