Robert W. "Bill" Harrison

SCHUYLER FALLS - Robert W. "Bill" Harrison, 76, of the Norrisville Road, Schuyler Falls, died Dec. 23, 2013, at his home under the loving care of his family and Hospice of the North Country.

He was born in Lakewood, N.J., the son of Robert E. and Evelyn (Armstrong) Harrison.

Bill retired from the U.S. Air Force in 1975 following 20 years of dedicated service. He was a lifetime member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 125 in Plattsburgh, and was a longtime member of the American Legion Post 20 in Plattsburgh.

Bill was a loving family man. Any activities he enjoyed involved family, including camping. He loved spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He also, as a young man, enjoyed swimming.

Survivors include his loving wife of 54 years, Laura J. (Lozier) Harrison; children, Michael Harrison and his wife Susan, Mark Harrison and his wife Karen, Thomas Harrison and his wife Laurie, and Kelly Harrison; seven grandchildren, Jamie Rabideau and her husband Jerad, Ashley Olsen and companion Lucas Tymchuck, Michael Harrison Jr., Melissa Harrison, Chris Harrison, Colleen Harrison, and Hannah Harrison; three great-grandchildren, Ariana, Graysen, and Jacob; sisters, Betty Roffi and her husband William, and Florence Blackbird and her husband Mike; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents; and son, Timothy Harrison.

At Bill's request, there will be no public calling hours. Services will be private and at the convenience of the family. Donations in his memory may be made to the FitzPatrick Cancer Center or Hospice of the North Country.
