PLATTSBURGH - Harold G. Sharlow, 88, of Plattsburgh passed away Dec. 10, 2013, at the CVPH Medical Center.
He was born August 29, 1925, in Norfolk, N.Y., the son of George and Gertrude (Upell) Sharlow. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Navy. He was a police officer in the Norfolk/Potsdam area. After that he was a manager of Ames Department Store in Potsdam and Plattsburgh for 23 years. He also worked at Wyeth as a security officer for 10 years.
Harold is survived by his wife, Bonita (Nichols) Sharlow of Plattsburgh; his children, Terry and Linda Sharlow of Pascagoula, Miss., Robert and Linda Sharlow of Wellesley Island, N.Y., Jeff and Sally Sharlow of Ocean Springs, Miss., Kevin and Lisa Sharlow of Carmel, Ind., Michael and Kimberly Sharlow and their children, Michaela Aileen and Kamryn Elise of Tiffin, Ohio, Stephen and Casey Sharlow and their children, Hanna Kaleen, Madeline Rose and Timothy Marcel of Houston, Texas, Kathy Sharlow and her children, Benjamin Alan and preceded in death by Alicia Grace of Portland, Tennessee. He is also survived by his stepdaughter, Kimberly Bosley, her husband Randy and their children, Brett and Tyler Bosley of Mooers Forks, N.Y.; one stepson, Todd Hall of Plattsburgh, N.Y.; and one sister, Rita (Sharlow) Mann of Canroe, Texas.
A private family memorial will take place at a later date.
