ROUSES POINT — Joyce M. Boyse, 68, of Columbus Drive, Rouses Point, died unexpectedly, Tuesday, July 8, 2014 at the CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh, with her loving family by her side.
She was born in New Britain, Conn., May 26, 1946, the daughter of Henry and Theresa (McGrath) Jean. She grew up in Rouses Point and graduated from St. Mary's in Champlain, and later attended college in Albany.
Joyce worked for A. N. Deringer in Champlain for nearly 30 years prior to retiring. She was grateful, as well as her family, for the kindness and care shown by her longtime friends at A. N. Deringer, since her retirement.
She enjoyed caring for her dogs, gardening, and cooking, but her true love was spending time with her grandchildren.
Survivors include her companion, Ken Lilihan of Rouses Point; son, Ronald Boyse and wife Linette of Mooers; daughter, Linda Boyse of Rouses Point; grandchildren, Alexander, Christopher, Matthew, Chad, and Samantha; one great-grandson, Daniel; two sisters, Cheryl Jean and Sandra Jean; one brother, Henry Jean; and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents.
Calling hours will be held from 4 to 6 pm Friday, July 11, 2014 at the Hamilton Funeral Home, 793 Gilbert Road, Mooers. A memorial service will follow at 6 pm at the Hamilton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Clyde A. Lewis, officiating.
