SARANAC — Nora M. Waldron, 85, of the Standish Road, Saranac, died Tuesday, July 8, 2014 at the CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh with her loving family by her side.
She was born in Clayburg, April 6, 1929, the daughter of Michael and Alvina (Provost) Farrell.
Nora was a mother to her 11 children, grandmother, and great-grandmother. After raising her children, Nora pursued a career helping others at the Plattsburgh and Saranac Nutrition Centers. For Nora, caring for her family was always a priority. Cooking and baking were a specialty.
Survivors include her 11 children and seven children-in-law, Rita and John Smith of Redford, Lawrence and Marjorie Waldron of Saranac, Eileen Waldron of Saranac, Betty Waldron of Saranac, Robert Waldron of Plattsburgh, Carol and Scott Johnson of Peru, Kenneth and Tammy Waldron of Saranac, Thomas and Lee Waldron of Saranac, Ronald and Kim Waldron of Ellenburg, Tim and Becky Waldron of Morrisonville, and Bonnie Waldron of Atlanta, Ga.; many loving grandchildren and great-grandchildren; siblings, Mitchell Farrell and his wife Gloria, Marion Collins, Helen Burleigh, John Farrell, Albert Farrell and his wife Judy, James Farrell, and Doris Gardner and her husband Eldoris; siblings-in-law, Margaret Waldron, Ursula Constance, Sister Eileen Waldron, Ann Brousseau, and Florence Waldron; and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents; and husband, Lawrence T. Waldron.
At Nora's request there will be no public calling hours. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 am Thursday, July 10, 2014 at the Church of the Assumption in Redford with Rev. John M. Demo, parish pastor, celebrating. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery.
Donations in her memory may be made to the Saranac Rescue Squad.
