AUSABLE FORKS — Kevin E. Lucia Sr., 51, of Ausable Forks, passed away June 11, 2014, at the home of his son in Dannemora. He was born July 26, 1962, in Plattsburgh, the son of the late Edward "Roger" and Pauline (Jarvis) Lucia. Kevin owned and operated Edward Lucia's Used Cars in Peru.
He loved being outdoors fishing, camping, and having cookouts. He enjoyed watching NASCAR on Sundays. He was also a New York Giants fan. Kevin was a 4th degree Knight in the Knights of Columbus, along as being a son in the American Legion. In 1981, Kevin was enlisted in the United States Army. He loved spending time with his grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife Emily Lucia of Vermont; a daughter and her husband, Kayla and Mike Garrow, and their daughter, Ericka Garrow; his son, Shawn Lucia and his son Keaton Lucia; his son, Kevin Lucia Jr. and companion Nicky Desourdy, and his children, Keagen Lucia, Dustin Lucia and Kevin Lucia III, Ryon Lucia and Autumn Laundry; and his son, Joshua Lucia; a sister and her husband, Crystal and Beaver Simpson; several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
Along with his parents, Kevin was predeceased by a brother, Irwin Lucia.
Calling hours will be held from 3 to 5 p.m. Monday, June 16, at the Brown Funeral Home in Plattsburgh. Services will follow at 5 p.m. in the Brown Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will be in St. Augustine's Cemetery in Peru at a later date. Donations in his memory may be made to his family.
