---- — PLATTSBURGH — Pauline E. Stark, 88, a long time resident of Champlain Park, passed away Friday, April 5, 2013 at Fletcher-Allen Health Care in Burlington, Vt.
She was born in Altona on July 31, 1924, the daughter
of the late Halsey and Venia (Bushey) Stark.
Pauline graduated from Altona Central School in 1940, wentnt on to work at the Diamond Match Co. Pauline subsequently worked and retired from the Plattsburgh AFB Exchange and Kmart. Pauline was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxillary, the American Legion Auxillary, the Beekmantown Get Together Club and St. John's Church. She enjoyed fishing, bingo, reading, crossword puzzles, spending time with
family and especially good neighbors and best friends at Champlain Park.
Pauline is survived by nieces and nephews, Kathryn Vulcheff, Alice and Joseph Thomas, Helen and Richard McNeil, Elsie and Ronald Jarvis, Brenda Poupore, Rosemary and Russell LaPorte, Burt and Connie Gebo, Kevin and Joan Gebo, Gary Stark, Susan DeClario, Barbara Bessey, David and Christine Stark, and Donald and Lyvonne Stark. Also surviving are several great, great great and great great great nieces and nephews.
She is previously deceased by her parents, brothers, sisters, and in-laws, Reginald and Alice Stark, Eleanor and Francis Yelle, Helen and Burt Gebo, Harry Stark, Donald and Betty Stark, and a nephew, Bob Gebo.
In accordance with Pauline's wishes, there will be no calling hours. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Thursday, April 11, 2013 at St. John's Church.
Memorial donations may be offered to a charity of one's choice.
