AUSABLE FORKS — Janice M. Rhino, 69, entered into the arms of the Lord, Friday, March 29, 2013. She died at home after a courageous battle with cancer, with her loving family by her side.
She was born March 6, 1944 in Standish, N.Y., the daughter of the late Leo and Eva (Osher) Osborne.
Janice loved bowling with all her bubbies and did so for 35 years. She loved to garden, bird watch and root on her favorite team, the Yankees.
She is survived by her husband, William Rhino Sr., whom she married in August 11, 1962, in Standish; her four children, William Rhino Jr. and wife Renee (Harnisch), Dean Rhino and companion Heidi (Vanvalkenburg), Eve Lavallee and her husband Donald, Theresa Dellavalle and her husband Patrick; and loving grandchildren Will and Nick Rhino, Dean Jr., Patrick, Alexis, Jacob and Jeremiah Rhino, Kodi Gordon, Tanner Lavallee, Austin and Nathan Brault and several nieces and nephews. Her siblings, June Collins of Germantown, Md., Nancy Douglas of Plattsburgh, Sylvia (Bob) Rowe of Anaheim, Calif. and Allan Osborne of Clintonville.
She was predeceased by one brother, Leo Osborne of Montpelier, Vt.
Calling hours will be held from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m, Monday, April 1, at the Thwaits-Zaumetzer Funeral Home in Au Sable Forks. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11 a.m., April 2, at the Holy Name Church in Au Sable Forks. Burial to follow in Fairview Cemetery.
