---- — MINEVILLE — Kelley Sherman Hughes, 51, of Mineville, died on Friday, March 29, 2013, after a long battle with diabetes at CVPH, with her loving family by her side.

Kelley, born Oct. 10, 1961, is survived by her loving parents, Richard and Eleanor Sherman; her loving son, Benjamin Hammond and Sarah; her beloved grandchildren, Parker and Adyson; her sisters and brothers, Jody Sherman, Rick and wife Tammy Sherman, Craig and wife Tracy Sherman, Kim Sherman and Susan and her husband Gary Sadowski, all of Mineville. Kelley is also survived by many nieces, nephews, aunts, cousins, uncles; and grandmother, Susan Sherman. She is predeceased by her brother, Bobby Sherman; grandparents Dorothy and John Riddle and the recent Fayette (pa) Sherman.

Kelley was loved by everyone she met, she would light up a room with her smile. You couldn't help but feel the love she had in her heart. She was beautiful inside and out, always had something nice to say about everyone. She was very kind and sweet woman. Kelley loved her son dearly. Benjamin was the love of her life. Her family was her greatest gift of her life, as she was ours. She loved writing books, four wheeling, riding her scooter, going for walks and just being with her family.

Kelley is and will always be missed by all. A special thanks to all the nurses and aides that took care of Kelley, especially a huge and very big thanks to the whole staff at Horace Nye Nursing Home. She loved you all and thank you all from the bottom of all of our hearts and Kelley's.

Calling hours will be held from 5 to 8 p.m., Monday, April 1, at the Harland Funeral Home in Port Henry. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m., Tuesday, at All Saints Church in Mineville. Burial will be at a later date.
