---- — BEEKMANTOWN — Marie E. Hobbs, 88, formerly of the Gretta Howe Lane, died early Thursday morning at CVPH Medical Center. She was born in Plattsburgh on Jan. 3, 1925 the daughter of Leon and Catherine (Lyons) Kimball. She married Lauren Hobbs at St. John's Church in Plattsburgh in 1945. Mr. Hobbs died in 1995.

She was a member of St. Joseph's Church in West Chazy. Mrs. Hobbs was also a member of North Country Bowling Association and the Beekmantown Volunteer Fire Dept. Auxiliary. She enjoyed playing bingo and going to the local casinos.

Survivors include two sons, Daniel Hobbs and his wife Nancy of Beekmantown and Harrison Hobbs and his companion, Darcy Burnell of Plattsburgh; a sister-in-law, Marie Kimball of N.J.; five step-grandchildren, Ricky, Jayson, Barbara and Jessica Covey and Laurie McKinnon and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by three brothers, Bernard, Gerald and James Kimball and one sister, Marion Kimball.

Calling hours will be held from 3 to 6 p.m. Monday, at the R. W. Walker Funeral Home, 69 Court St., Plattsburgh. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 am Tuesday, at St. Joseph's Church in West Chazy, followed by burial in East Beekmantown Cemetery.

Donations, in her memory, may be made to the Morrisonville/Schuyler Falls Volunteer Ambulance Service.
