---- — KEESEVILLE — Michael J. Lucia, 61, of Hill Street, Keeseville, died unexpectedly, Monday, June 24, 2013 at the CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh. He was born in Potsdam, Feb. 7, 1952, the son of James and Constance (Cook) Lucia.
Mike was a skillful mason and 40 year member of the Bricklayers and Allied Craftworkers Local #2. He has contributed his talent to countless projects throughout the North Country.
Mike was an avid outdoorsman. He especially enjoyed hunting, fishing, boating, NASCAR, and nurturing his garden. He loved spending time at the family camp on the shore of Fern Lake. His favorite of all was spending time in his garage in the company of family and friends.
Survivors include his wife of 43 years, Rosalind Marie (Blaise) Lucia of Keeseville; two daughters, Michelle Cross and husband Terry of Willsboro, and Malissa LaFountain and husband Brian of Keeseville; grandsons, Clayton and Lucas Cross, and Alax LaFountain; his brother, Craig Lucia and wife Susan and their son, Stephen Wills and his wife Kim; and his canine companion, Chico. He was predeceased by his parents.
There will be no public calling hours. A memorial gathering will be held at 4 p.m. Wednesday, June 26, at the Lucia home, 143 Hill Street, Keeseville.
