Beth A. Freeman

MORRISONVILLE — Beth A. Freeman, 58, passed away on Nov. 2, 2013, at the CVPH Medical Center with her family by her side.

She was born May 29, 1955 in Gloversville, N.Y., the daughter of Larry and Marion Hallenbeck.

Beth resided in Northville, N.Y., where she graduated from Northville High School. After high school she entered the United States Air Force and served her country for 20 years before retiring from Plattsburgh Air Force Base in 1993.

Beth was a Girl Scout Leader for 23 years and a teacher's assistant for 18 years at Morrisonville Elementary School. She was an active bowler and loved doing crafts and selling them at local craft shows.

She is survived by her husband, Gary Freeman; two daughters, Heidi (Frank) Freeman and Jennifer (Tyler) Ashlaw; three grandsons, Tyler and Ethan Freeman and Landon Ashlaw, all of Morrisonville; her mother, Marion Hallenbeck of Gloversville, N.Y.; one sister, Debra Hallenbeck of Seneca Falls, N.Y., and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her father, Larry Hallenbeck.

Calling hours will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 7, at the R. W. Walker Funeral Home, 69 Court Street, Plattsburgh. A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 8, at the Morrisonville Community Church.

The family is honoring Beth's wishes and her burial will be with her family in the Prospect Hill Cemetery in Northville, N.Y., at a later date. In Lieu of flowers the family would like Memorial Donations made to the Morrisonville Community Church or the FitzPatrick Cancer Center.
