---- — MOOERS — Mrs. Betty M. Perry, 90, formerly of Maple Street in Mooers, died Friday, Oct. 18, 2013, at the CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh with family by her side.
She was born in Barrington, Quebec on Dec. 15, 1922, the daughter of the late Thomas and Regina (Beaudin) Fullum.
Betty graduated from Fort Covington High School and graduated from Adirondack Business School in Malone. She was employed as a bookkeeper for Monette's Furniture in Mooers for several years.
She was a communicant of St. Joseph's Church in Mooers for over 50 years. Betty enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and also enjoyed playing cards and attending Chazy Central Rural School soccer games. Betty was blessed with a generous heart and always enjoyed helping others.
She is survived by her children and their spouses, Rae and John McAuliffe of Chazy, Karen Saroj of Cumberland Head, Wendy and Paul Jarecki of Boca Raton, Fla., Connie Tuning of Mooers; her grandchildren, Robert and Kristen McAuliffe, Shay McAuliffe, Patrick McAuliffe, Maya Saroj, Paul and Yoon Saroj, Christopher Saroj, Monica Saroj, Stefanie Smith and Rob, Courtney Jarecki, Britney Tuning, Jarret Tuning; her great-grandchildren, Ava, Jack and William McAuliffe, Riley, Yoora, Kiran Saroj, Makenna Bruce, Lauren Tuning; a sister-in-law, Eileen Fullum of Ottawa, Ontario; several niecesand nephews; her close friends Jean Poissant, Millie Willette, and Joan Krywanczyk.
She was predeceased by the love of her life, Robert Perry in 1999, whom she married Aug. 8, 1948, at St. Joseph's Church in West Chazy and enjoyed 50 years of marriage. Her siblings Rita Cox, Eugene Fullum, Raymond Fullum and Ida Fullum, and a son-in-law Satish Saroj also passed away earlier.
Calling hours will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 20, at the Brown Funeral Home, 29 Broad St. in Plattsburgh. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 21, at Sacred Heart Church in Chazy. Entombment will follow in Whispering Maples Mausoleum in Ellenburg Depot.
