SOUTH GLENS FALLS — Albert Clark Wildermuth, 87, passed away peacefully on Thursday, Oct. 10, 2013, at his son's home surrounded by his family.
Born in Little Falls on Oct. 16, 1925, he was the son of the late James Arthur and Viola May (Burtiss) Wildermuth.
Clark was a graduate of Little Falls High School.
He enlisted into the U.S. Navy on Feb. 14, 1944, where he served as a Seaman 1st Class. He was also a member of the U.S. Navy Armed Guard and was the signalman for any of the ships he was on. He was a member of the Disabled American Veterans.
On Jan. 22, 1949, he married Alva Anson at Wadhams Methodist Church by Rev. Johnstone.
Clark was also a graduate of Moody Bible Institute where he received his teaching degree in Bible Studies.
He retired from the U.S. Postal Services in Glens Falls in 1985.
Besides his parents, Clark is predeceased by his wife, Alva Wildermuth who passed on Jan. 2, 2013; a son, Dwight Wildermuth who passed in Nov. 23, 2010; and a brother, Robert Wildermuth.
Left to cherish his memories are his sons, Steve Wildermuth and wife Linda of Hadley, and Mike Wildermuth of Glens Falls; daughter-in-law JoAnne (Wildermuth) Myers and husband Ken of Richmond, N.H.; granddaughters, Jaclynn Capone, Kendra Capone, and Star Harris and husband Chad; four great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Dorothy Baker; nieces, Alice Patterson and husband Randy of Lake Placid and Paula Vincent of Lake Placid; along with many other nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends may call from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 19, 2013 at the Faith Bible Baptist Church, 62 Ogden Road, Queensbury, NY 12804.
A funeral service will be conducted following calling hours at 1 p.m. at the church with Pastor Rick Yancy, presiding. Burial will follow at the Faith Bible Baptist Cemetery, Queensbury.
