WILLSBORO — Dale D. Reynolds, 73, died Tuesday, Oct. 8, 2013, at North Side Hospital in St. Petersburg, Fla.
He was born in Willsboro, N.Y. on April 5, 1940, son of Dean and Gladys Reynolds (Valou).
Dale was a graduate of Willsboro Central School and served in the United State Navy. After being honorably discharged, he bought a dairy farm on the West Road and later Willsboro Hardware which he ran with his wife, Edith. Dale was an exceptional plumber and electrician. He loved living in a small community and helping his fellow neighbor. It was not uncommon for Dale to make emergency house calls at night and on the weekends. He would only charge five or ten dollars to help those struggling financially and drove people to and from the doctors for free.
Dale loved gardening, visiting with his family and friends, and the Adirondack Mountains. He also loved his longtime companion, Barbara Norton, who he shared a home with in St. Petersburg.
Dale is survived by Barbara Norton of St. Petersburg; brothers, Philip Keeler of St. Petersburg and Dean Reynolds and his wife Stef of Sweet Home, Ore; sister, Rebecca Reynolds of North Andover, Mass.; son, Dean Reynolds and his wife Jada of Willsboro; daughter, Dr. Wanda McQueen and fianc^, Edwin Coleman of Plattsburgh; son, Timothy Reynolds and wife Tammy; daughter, Sherry Myers; grandchildren, Jake, Ben, and Taylor Reynolds, Brad, Donovan, and Garrett McQueen, Tierra and Briana Reynolds, Amanda Dickerson; and great grandsons, Trentin and Mason McQueen.
In keeping with Dale's wishes, there will be no calling hours or funeral service.
