Regina D. Westover


---- — WESTPORT — Regina D. Westover, 82 of Main Street, Westport, died Friday, Oct. 11, 2013, at the Elizabethtown Community Hospital, with her loving family by her side.

She was born in Elizabethtown, March 22, 1931, the daughter of Ray Sr. and Delia (Caza) Decker.

Regina enjoyed snowmobiling, playing cards with friends, knitting, crossword puzzles, researching family history, and caring for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Survivors include her husband of 63 years, James Westover, whom she married Sunday, April 30, 1950, in Port Henry; her children, James Westover and wife Marlene, David Westover and companion Bonnie Hathaway, Douglas Westover and wife Tina, Jana Atwell and husband Terry, and Dennis Westover and wife Sabrina; grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Nicole and husband Ben Sudduth (their daughters, Mallory and Megan), Brian and wife Christine Westover (their children Alexandria and Ian), Nathan and wife Krystal Westover (their daughters Katlyn and Cheyanne), Aaron Westover and fianc^e Jennifer Reisigel, Brianna Westover, Whitney Westover (her daughter Jada Westover), Tyler Atwell, Taylor Atwell, Eric Westover, Adam Westover, Nicholas Robare, and Zachary Wetmore; siblings, Ray Jr., Rena, Roger, Richard, Russell, Rowena, and Reginald; and many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her parents; brothers, Robert, Ronnie, Ralph, and Randall; and granddaughters, Shannon Westover, and Brandy Greene.

Calling hours will be held from noon to 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 15, at the Hamilton Funeral Home, 294 Mannix Road, Peru. A memorial service will follow at 2 p.m. at the funeral home chapel with Rev. Fred Shaw officiating. Burial will follow in the Black River Cemetery in Westport.
