TUPPER LAKE — Elizabeth E. "Peg" Ormsby, 80, of Leboeuf Street, Tupper Lake, died Monday, Sept. 16, 2013, at her home. She was born in Plattsburgh, Dec. 19, 1932, the daughter of Leroy and Harriet (Morrow) St. Louis.
Peg enjoyed spending time with her family, playing cards, knitting, crocheting, playing, scratch off lottery tickets, and baking cookies and cakes for her neighbors Paul and Sherry Kennedy, and friends.
Survivors include her husband, Kenneth Ormsby of Plattsburgh, Kenneth Ormsby Jr. of Fla., Peggy Ormsby Tipton and her husband Donald of Anchorage, Alaska, Vincent Ormsby of Tupper Lake, David Ormsby of Tupper Lake, Laurie Ormsby of Tupper Lake, and Daniel Ormsby; grandchildren, Steven Ormsby, Travis Ormsby, Michelle Ormsby, Mickie Ormsby, Jeffrey Ormsby and Samantha Ormsby; great-grandchildren, Hayden Ormsby, Steven Ormsby, Hazel Ormsby, Logan Phillips Gravlin, and Hannah Tyo.
She was predeceased by her parents; son, Gary Ormsby; two sisters, Marilyn Santor, and Catherine St. Louis; brother, Robert St. Louis; nieces, Sandra Santor, and Connie Ormsby; nephew Robert St. Louis; daughter-in-law, Sherry Ormsby; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Floyd and Marion Ormsby; and brother-in-law, Warren Ormsby.
Calling hours will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday, Sept. 23, at the Hamilton Funeral Home, 294 Mannix Road, Peru. A prayer service will follow at 7 p.m. at the Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Dr. Kenneth Parker, officiating.
