Francis A. (Frank) Nadeau Jr.

TICONDEROGA — Francis (Frank) A. Nadeau Jr., 84, formerly of Rota, Spain, passed away on July 30, 2013. Born in Ticonderoga, N.Y., he was the son of the late Romaine A. (Wemette) and Francis A. Nadeau.

Frank was a U.S. Navy veteran and an avid Patriots fan. He retired as a Master Chief Petty Officer Radioman and Civil Service as an Electronic Technician. His career took him all over the world including the Far East, Europe, Antarctica and the Caribbean. He was very proud of his involvement of Operation Deep Freeze and the USS Hancock (CV-19) Association.

He was preceded by his beloved wife, Luz Antonia Melendez Nadeau. Left to cherish his memory are a daughter, Candida J. Tineo and husband Angel of Portsmouth, Va.; three sons, Richard F. Nadeau of Largo, Fla., Michael F. Nadeau, and Lance C. Nadeau and wife Cathy of Chesapeake, Va.; a brother, Richard A. Nadeau and Peggy of Ticonderoga; four grandchildren, Damion, Dayna, Michael and John; and eight great-grandchildren.

He was known as Frank, Dad and Papa and loved all his family. Residing in Rota, Spain for 30 years, he moved back to Virginia to be with family. Three of his great-grandchildren were born after he moved back to Virginia. He loved watching Toni and Kellam play together; and he met Owen for the first time while watching a Patriots game.

A memorial service to honor his life will be held at a later date by Father Brian Rafferty.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Ticonderoga Alumni Association, P.O. Box 644, Ticonderoga, NY 12883

The family wishes to acknowledge, with deep appreciation, the many expressions of love, kindness and support shown from the staff and residents of Cedar Manor Assistance Living of Chesapeake, VA.
