PLATTSBURGH — Ruby Matott, 93, formerly of Pepper Ridge Drive, passed away, Monday, July 1, 2014, at the CVPH Medical Center.
She was born in Sciota on June 11, 1921 the daughter of Richard and Mettie (Guyette) Dragoon.
Ruby was a member of St. Peter's Church and a former member of the VFW Auxiliary Senior Citizens Club.
Survivors include two sons, Maynard and Sylvia Matott of Naples, Fla., and Mickey and Toma Matott of Cynthiana, Ky.; three daughters, Sandra and Edward Garrant of Beekmantown, Holly and David Jolicoeur of Plattsburgh and Tammy and Charles Parrott of Plattsburgh; one sister, Lillian Alger of Sidney, N,Y.; four sisters—in—law, Priscilla Dragoon, Evelyn Dragoon, Vera Dragoon, and Pat Matott; seven grandchildren; seven great—grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband, Maynard Matott; four brothers, Richard, Russell, Elrick, and Hillard Dragoon; and one sister, Ruth Garrand.
Calling hours will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. on Friday, July 4, at the R.W. Walker Funeral Home in Plattsburgh. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, July 5, at St. Peter's Church in Plattsburgh. Entombment will follow in Whispering Maples Memorial Gardens, Tom Miller Road, Plattsburgh.
