PLATTSBURGH — Anthony W. "Tony" Mangieri, 64, of Margaret Street, Plattsburgh, died Sunday, June 15, 2014 at his home.
He was born in Rochester, Feb. 1, 1950, the son of Anthony and Mary (Grasso) Mangieri.
Tony proudly served in the United States Air Force from 1968 until he retired in 1988. He was a member of the American Legion Post 20 in Plattsburgh, and a lifelong NY Yankee fan.
Survivors include his sons, Raymond and Vincent Mangieri; his wife Vicky; and mother-in-law, Marj Olds.
Relatives and friends may call from 2 to 3 pm Friday, June 20, 2014 at the Hamilton Funeral Home, 294 Mannix Road, Peru. A memorial service will follow at 3 pm at the Hamilton Funeral Home Chapel. Committal prayers, military honors and burial will follow in God's Acre Cemetery in Peru.
Tony's family would like to thank friend, Andy Allison and his church family for the kindness and friendship shown to Tony during the last few years.
In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.
