In 2003, Maureen was part of a volunteer group which founded Plattsburgh Memorial Chapel Inc., whose purpose is to restore, revive, and oversee the re-use of the Chapel (the former Old Base Chapel), located on the former Air Force Base. She served as fund-raising chair and president of the Board of Directors. Maureen was also an avid golfer and played at the Barracks Golf Course for over forty years.
Mrs. Moll is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Jennifer and Melvin Hoffman of Kenmore, N.Y., and their children, Robert of Rochester, N.Y., and William of Norfolk, Va., and a son, Christopher Moll, his wife, Deborah, and their daughters, Emily and Chloe, of Essex Junction, Vt., and his children, Nicholas and Lisa, of Bellows Falls, Vt.
A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday Oct. 12, at Trinity Episcopal Church in Plattsburgh with a reception to follow. There will be a private family burial at Gilliland Cemetery, Plattsburgh.
If desired, donations may be made in Maureen's memory to Trinity Episcopal Church Organ Committee for repair and restoration of the church's historic pipe organ, or to the Plattsburgh Memorial Chapel, 100 U.S. Oval, Plattsburgh, NY 12903.
