---- — AU SABLE FORKS — Francis M. Ouimette, 63, of 125 Church Lane, Au Sable Forks, passed away Saturday, Sept. 14, 2013 at CVPH Medical Center with his loving family by his side.

Francis Mervin Ouimette was born in Plattsburgh, on Dec. 2, 1949, the son of Francis H. and Myrtle E. (Webb) Ouimette.

Francis worked for Paul Coolidge Logging and Robert Butt Logging Companies. He enjoyed woodworking, crafts, gardening and spending time with his grandchildren. Francis loved fishing and hunting with his son, Ray Lee and son-in-law, Randy.

He is survived by his wife, Alice Lee Stoker whom he married on April 8, 1972 in Willsboro, N.Y.; one son, Ray Lee Ouimette and companion Tonya Goucher; one daughter, Sue and Randy Crowningshield of Au Sable Forks; five grandchildren, William and Angel Ouimette, Randy Jr., Christy and Julie Crowningshield; and many nieces and nephews. Francis is survived by one brother, George (Donna) Ouimette; four sisters, Carol (John) Kingsbury, Sandi (Dennis) Connell, Maxine (Nick) Orlando, Ruth Kauffman; and sister-in-law, Linda (Macey) Ouimette. Also the sister-in-laws and brother-in-laws of Alice's family.

He was predeceased by his parents; six brothers, Howard, Leon, Donald, David, Clarence (Elmer) and Raymond Ouimette.

Donations may be made to the Au Sable Forks Fire Department or to the Dialysis Unit at the Elizabethtown Community Hospital in memory of Francis M. Ouimette.

Calling hours will be held from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 18, 2013 at the Thwaits-Zaumetzer Funeral Home in Au Sable Forks, N.Y. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 19, 2013 at the funeral Home. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery.
