WILMINGTON - James A. Aubin, 86, passed away on Dec. 1, 2013, at Meadowbrook Healthcare in Plattsburgh, N.Y. James was born on March 14, 1927 in Black Brook, N.Y. the son of George and Ella (Call) Aubin.
Jim served in the United States Navy from 1944 to 1946. He worked at the mines in Tahas, N.Y. driving heavy equipment for 10 years. Like his father he was a carpenter, owned and operated Aubin Constuction. One of his passions was his motor cycle and touring. Jim was predeceased by his parents; and his wife, Grace; and step son, Calvin Stevens. Jim is survived by his children, Brad Aubrey, Jamie Dail, Raymond Aubin, George Aubin; step children, Arlie Adams, Gene Stevens, Shirley Pelkey, Sylvia Valent; and nephew, Bubby Lawrence. He has 18 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren.
He will be remembered and missed greatly, because of his sense of humor, kind heart and loving father.
A graveside service will be held 12 noon on Saturday, Dec. 7, 2013 at at the Haselton Cemetery in Wilmington, N.Y. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the FitPatrick Cancer in memory of James A. Aubin, Plattsburgh, N.Y. 12901. The Thwaits Zaumetzer Funeral Home is in care of arrangements.
