CHAZY — Mrs. June Alice Juneau, 71, of 2534 Lake Shore Road, Chazy, N.Y., passed away Sunday, April 13, 2014 at the Sacred Heart Hospital in Pensacola, Fla. She was born in Mineville, N.Y., on June 12, 1942, the daughter of Jesse and Alice (LaBier) Boulrice.
June was a graduate of Mooers Central School in 1960 and held the honor of graduating without missing a day of school. While attending school she enjoyed cheerleading and supporting her family by working on the family farm.
June married the love of her life, Roland Juneau, at St. Ann's Church in Mooers Forks, N.Y., on June 9, 1962.
June was a cook at the Cedar Hedge Nursing Home for many years. She was also employed at Aubuchon Hardware working her way up to store manager until her retirement in 1993.
June enjoyed having coffee every morning watching the boaters go by in her backyard. She was very involved in Chazy Youth Hockey when her children participated in hockey. June enjoyed cooking, sewing, knitting, ceramics, crafts, working with stained glass, camping with family, canning, gardening, flea markets, garage sales, bowling, boating, ATV riding, volunteering for the Lake Placid Iron Man, trips to the casino, games on her tablet, hosting parties at camp, tackling projects, watching her four sons and grandchildren play sports and spending time with her family. Her children and grandchildren were her pride and joy.
June's hospitality was second to none. Her door was always open with hosting camp parties for family and friends for spending time together.
She was predeceased by her parents; her brothers and sisters-in-law, Robert and Marsha Boulrice, Donald and Veronica Boulrice, Bernard and Eleanor Boulrice; her brother-in-law, Lawrence Tatro; sisters and brothers-in-law, Shirley and Alcide Bechard, Joyce and Robert Burns and marrying Fredrick DuRoss after Robert's death, Beverly and Roderick Willette, Linda and Carlton Kelley; her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Raymond and Simone (Tetreault) Juneau; brother-in-law, Bruce Juneau; sister-in-law, Mary Ann Juneau; and several nephews.
