---- — PLATTSBURGH — Clark J. Liberty, 62, of Military Turnpike in Plattsburgh, N.Y., passed away on Sunday, April 13, 2014, at CVPH Medical Center.
He was born Nov. 14, 1951, in Plattsburgh, the son of Joseph and Phyllis (Graves) Liberty.
Clark was a truck driver for many years in the 1970s. He then went on to work as a Corrections Officer for the New York State Dept. of Corrections at Camp Gabriel in 1985. Clark married Susan Breyette on July 15, 1991, in Peru, N.Y. He enjoyed collecting silver, gardening, camping and fishing.
Clark was predeceased by his parents, Joseph and Phyllis Liberty; and his mother-in-law, Marion Breyette. He is survived by his wife of 23 years, Susan Liberty of Plattsburgh; three children, Vanessa Davies and her husband Matthew of Plattsburgh, Andrew Breyette and his wife Tricia of Plattsburgh, Brent Breyette and his wife Diana of Plattsburgh; seven grandchildren, Jeremy, Matthew, Ayden, Candice, Riley, Katrina and Camryn; three sisters, Mona Liberty of Plattsburgh, Kathy Collins and her husband Michael "Mickey"of Peru and Julie Liberty of Corinth, N.Y.; a brother, Paul Liberty and his companion Nancy of Malone.
Calling hours will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. Wednesday, April 16, at the Brown Funeral Home in Plattsburgh. A funeral service will follow at 4 p.m. in the Brown Funeral Home Chapel. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, April 18, at St. Peter's Cemetery in Plattsburgh.
