SCHENECTADY — Joan Santor Stewart, 84, of Schenectady, passed away Thursday, April 10, 2014, surrounded by her family. Born in Keeseville, she lived in Schenectady, then moved to Camillus in 1990.
She graduated from Keeseville High School and CVPH Nursing School.
Joan was a former communicant and volunteer at St. Joseph's Church. She enjoyed spending time with her family. She was predeceased by her husband, David; and daughters, Patti and Jeannie.
Surviving are her daughters, Mary (Lawrence) Couture, Ann (Hal) Duprey both of Schenectady, and Rita (Kevin) Grome of Camillus; her brother, Richard (Theresa) Santor of Plattsburgh; grandchildren, Patty, Michelle, Natalie, Kevin, Ryan and Nathan; great-grandchildren, David, Devan and Delia; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
A Mass of Christian burial will be 9 a.m. Monday, at St. Katerie Parish, 1803 Union St., Niskayuna. Calling hours will be 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday at the Jones Funeral Home, 1503 Union St. (at McClellan St.), Schenectady. Joan will be laid to rest in St. John's Cemetery, Keeseville, on Tuesday.
