PORT HENRY - Harold O. (Harry) Colburn, 79, of Port Henry passed away on Tuesday, April 1, 2014 with his family by his side.
He was born on Nov. 2, 1934, in Chateauguay, N.Y., the son of Buehla and Harry Colburn.
Harold worked for the International Paper Co. until retirement. Harold was an avid fisherman and hunted the Adirondacks and beyond for many years. He was a pillar of the Mount Moriah Presbyterian Church in Port Henry where he had many friends. There he served as the ruling Elder and financial secretary.
Surviving are his daughter, Brooke Malone and her husband Nathaniel of Trumansburg, N.Y. and step daughter, Tina Parrott and her husband Chip of Crown Point, N.Y.; three grandsons, Quincy and Isaiah Malone and Aiden Parrott; two sisters, Muriel Fish and Etola Genier as well as many, many nieces and nephews.
There will be no funeral services or calling hours. As requested there will be a family gathering to celebrate Harold's life and contributions to the community at a later date.
