At the time of her passing, she was under the loving care of her daughter and son-in-law, Shelba Jean and Francis Miller; grandson, Bruce St. Andrew; and Hospice of the North Country.

She was born Dec. 10, 1919, in Mooers, daughter of Delbert and Lena (Garrand) Garrow. She grew up in Mooers with her large family of 13. Harriet married Frank Veivia, May 29, 1938. He predeceased her March 23, 2003, following 65 years of marriage. Together they loved and raised six children, Shelba Jean Miller of Mooers Forks, Frank Veivia Jr. of Mooers, Wayne (Joe) Veivia of Rouses Point, and Jenny Veivia of Mooers Forks; sister, Dorothy Rabideau of Mooers, and Betty Robert of Plattsburgh.

She was predeceased by her parents; husband, Frank; son, Raymond Veivia; and daughter, Joan Decoteau.

Harriet worked at the old slipper factory in Mooers when it first opened. She also worked at Cedar Hedge Nursing Home in Rouses Point, and at CVPH for eight years. Lastly, she was employed at NCCS for a couple of years.

Harriet loved to read, and play bingo. However her greatest joy was spending time with her children and grandchildren.

At Harriet's request, there will be no public calling hours or services. A graveside service will be held at St. Joseph's Cemetery in Mooers. Donations in her memory may be made to the American Cancer Society.
