PLATTSBURGH — Mrs. Jacqueline "Jackie" Bouchard, 85, of the Wallace Hill Road, in Plattsburgh, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 15, 2013, at Meadowbrook Healthcare Facility. She was born in Verdun, PQ, on August 3, 1928, the daughter of the late Noe and Germaine (Pacquette) Berthiaume.
Jackie married Andre R. Bouchard on August 22, 1949. She enjoyed reading, teaching ceramics, knitting, cooking, collecting porcelain dolls, and instructing Senior Aerobics at Eye Care for the Adirondacks.
She will be known for her sewing of pillows and hats for patients at the FitzPatrick Cancer Center and doing volunteer work. Jackie was a member of St. Peter's Church.
She was predeceased by her parents; her husband Andre on May 10, 2011; a daughter, Claudine Bouchard Indelicato on April 2, 2010; a granddaughter, Kathleen O'Shaughnessy on Dec. 13, 2000 and several siblings.
Jackie is survived by her children, Peter Bouchard and his companion Arlene of Jupiter, Fla., Serge Bouchard and his wife Pat of Plattsburgh, Chantal O'Shaughnessy and her husband Steven of Massena, Claude Bouchard and his wife Ellen of Plattsburgh, Bryant Bouchard and his wife Susan of Plattsburgh; a son-in-law, Rich Indelicato of Marietta, Ga.; several siblings; ten grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 18, 2013, at the Brown Funeral Home, 29 Broad St., Plattsburgh, N.Y. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 19, 2013 at St. Peter's Church.
