PLATTSBURGH — Kevin John Nason, 48, of Plattsburgh, N.Y., and formerly of Burke, N.Y., passed away unexpectedly Sunday, Oct. 13, 2013, at his home.
Born in Malone, N.Y., Oct. 22, 1964, he is the son of Albert H. and Linda L. Tucker Nason. He graduated from Franklin Academy High School, in Malone, and took many engineering courses on line. He served in the U.S. Marines from 1983 until his discharge in 1986.
Many years ago, Kevin was employed by Atlantic Design in Poughkeepsie, N.Y., as a graphic designer and later by Camoplast, in Plattsburgh, as a technician adviser. For ten years, Kevin was employed by Bombardier Corporation in Plattsburgh, as a supervisor. He was later employed by IBM, in Burlington, Vt., as a computer operator. He enjoyed fishing, drawing, painting, writing poetry and collecting coins. He was an avid Green Bay Packers and New York Yankee fan, and enjoyed restoring his Corvette. Kevin had a great sense of humor and always had a joke on the tip of his tongue.
Survivors include his parents, Albert and Linda Nason of Burke; one son, Matthew Nason of Nev.; four sisters and two brothers in-law, Tammy and Francis Enryck of Beverly Hills, Fla., Lynn Lord of Morrisonville, N.Y., Donna Nason of Malone and Denise and Joseph Trimboli of Massena, N.Y., and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Calling hours will be from 9 to 11 a.m. Monday from the Bruso-Desnoyers Funeral Home in Malone. A Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m. in the funeral home chapel.
Donations may be made in his memory to the Burke Volunteer Fire and Rescue Squad.
