---- — — PLATTSBURGH ? Ronald J. Seymour, 69, of Oak Street, Plattsburgh, passed away on Tuesday, Oct. 1, 2013, at the Kingston Hospital in Kingston, N.Y., after a courageous battle with cancer.

He was born in Plattsburgh, N.Y., on July 6, 1944, the son of Wilfred and Esther (Lafoe) Seymour.

Ron was a graduate of the Devry University receiving his degree in Electronics. He owned and operated Ron's Repair Shop in Plattsburgh and took great pride in his work. Ron lived at the Robert S. Long Senior Housing in Plattsburgh where he enjoyed helping his fellow residents by fixing any problems they had with their electronics.

Survivors include his mother, Esther Seymour of Plattsburgh; one brother, Robert Seymour of Beekmantown; one sister and brother-in-law, Pauline and Bernard Proulx of Canton, N.Y.; and his nieces and nephews. Ron was predeceased by his father and one brother, Aurel Seymour.

Calling hours will be held from 12 to 2 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 4, at the R.W. Walker Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. in the Robert W. Walker Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow in St. Peter's Cemetery in Plattsburgh.
