---- — PERU — Margaret E. Walker, 86, of Hill Street, Keeseville, and formerly of the Calkins Road, Peru, died Friday, Sept. 13, 2013 at the CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh.

She was born in Peru, April 28, 1927, the daughter of Edmond and Marietta (Rock) Annis.

Margaret was an avid bingo player, loved to listen to country music, and enjoyed watching television.

Survivors include her three children, Sylvia King, Carlton Walker, and Rick Dyer; sister, Etta Farley; grandchildren, Leo King Jr., Donald King, and Jeanna King; great-grandchildren, David, Michael, Tyler, Callie, Molly, Ethan, Jellisa, and Kylie; great-great-grandchildren, Savanah, and Tanner.

She was predecased by her parents; husband of 45 years, James Walker; brothers, Floyd, Limewood, Donald, Theodore, and Edmond; five sisters, Loretta, Anna, Mildred, Shirley, and Elsie; and recent companion, Charles Rougier.

At Margaret's request there will be no public calling hours. Family and friend are welcome to visit Sylvia's home, 19 Hill Street, Keeseville, Tuesday, Sept. 17, from 6 to 8 P.M., or Wednesday, Sept. 18, anytime throughout the day and evening.

Donations in her memory may be made to the FitzPatrick Cancer Center in Plattsburgh.

Arrangements are in the care of the Hamilton Funeral Home, 294 Mannix Road, Peru.
