CHATEAUGAY — Molly Ann Filion, 74, of the Ryan Road, Chateaugay died Friday, Nov. 15, 2013, at the Adirondack Medical Center, Saranac Lake, N.Y.
Born in Ellenburg Center, N.Y. on June 3, 1939, she was the daughter of Alexander and Florence (Perham) Donah.
She was married to Gilles E. Filion on July 14, 1956 in St. Patrick's Church, Chateaugay. He predeceased her on May 31, 1988.
In her early years, Mrs. Filion attended Chateaugay Central School. She became employed at Mills Diner. In 1974, she began working at Meadowbrook Nursing Home until 1985. In 1986, she became employed with North Star Industries as a cook and retired after several years of service.
Mrs. Filion is survived by six children and their spouses, Lyn and Richard Boadway of Churubusco, Robert and Roselyn Filion of Churubusco, Lesha and Charles Lifson of Larchmont, Scott Filion of Churubusco, Robin and John Glennon of Ellenburg, Gilles and Amy Filion of Churubusco, 17 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren.
Besides her husband, she was predeceased by her parents; a son, Richard Filion; two sisters, Doris Soulia, Marjorie Lamb; and a brother, George Wainwright.
