ALTONA — Crystal G. Barcomb, 48, of Miner Farm Road, Altona, N.Y., died on Friday, March 28, 2014, with her husband by her side at CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh, after a courageous battle with cancer.
She was born in Brooklyn, N.Y. on April 9, 1965. Crystal grew up in Sciota and Mooers area and attended Northeastern Clinton Central School. She worked at the North East Group in Plattsburgh for many years. Crystal married Leeward Barcomb on Aug. 4th, 2007. She loved horses and owned four of them; Splash, Bolt, Moose and Lily. Crystal enjoyed spending time with family and friends and was always willing to help people.
She was predeceased by a brother, Billy Rhinhart.
Crystal is survived by her husband Lee Barcomb; three children, Christopher Rhinehart, Stephanie Wells and Kaitlin Cooney; two stepchildren; Adam and Ashley Barcomb; her mother, Arlene Rhinehart of Champlain; her siblings, Vincent Rhinehart, Delores Long, Kerrie Ann LePore and Douglas Rhinehart; her in-laws, Albert and Deanie Barcomb of West Chazy. She had a heart of gold and she adored her several grandchildren; also survived by several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Calling hours will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. on Monday, March 31, at the Brown Funeral Home in Plattsburgh. A funeral service will follow at 6 p.m. in the funeral home chapel.
