POINT AU ROCHE — Claudia M. Bradley, 100, of Dickson Point Road, passed away on Tuesday, March 4, 2014. at the CVPH Medical Center.
She was born in Beekmantown, N.Y., on Sept. 22, 1913, the daughter of Robert M. and Mable E. (Taylor) Craig.
Claudia graduated from Plattsburgh High School and then attended Plattsburgh State Normal School. She married Earl F. Bradley in 1937 in the Turnpike Wesleyan Church. Mr. Bradley passed away in 1996. Claudia spent her life as a teacher with the Plattsburgh City School District. She was the last teacher at the one room Scomotion Avenue School in the city of Plattsburgh before it closed.
Claudia was a member of the United Methodist Women of Morrisonville and served as a past President, a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, a lifetime member of the Clinton County Historical Society, a member of the NYS Retired Teachers Association and the Northeastern NY Retired Teachers Association. Claudia was also served as the organist for the Morrisonville Community Church for 50 years.
She loved spending time at her home, doing crafts, crocheting, and caring for her plants and flowers.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Carol and Nelson "Les" Delorimier of Point au Roche.
Claudia was predeceased by her husband, her parents, and one sister, Bernice E. Craig in 2002.
Calling hours will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Saturday, March 8, at the R.W. Walker Funeral Home. A funeral will follow at 1:30 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Burial will take place in the spring in the West Plattsburgh Union Cemetery in Morrisonville.
Donations in her memory may be made to the Church of the Nazarene in Plattsburgh.
