MORRISONVILLE — Myrtle C. Shelters, 87, of Route 3, died Thursday, Nov. 21, 2013, at the CVPH Medical Center.
She was born in Cadyville on Sept. 15, 1926, the daughter of Michael and Maud (Simmons) Ducatte.
Myrtle worked in the cafeteria at Saranac Central School for many years until she retired in 1988.
She enjoyed collecting many things including Porcelain Dolls, Costume Jewelry and other unique items. Myrtle loved spending time with her family and grandchildren, and especially going out to eat with them.
Survivors include two sons, Michael and Sandy Reil of Morrisonville and Robert "Bob" and Mamie Reil of Cadyville; two daughters, Brenda and Gary Porter of Cadyville and Susan "Sue" and Rick Dashnaw of Palm Bay, Fla.; six grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband, Roswell Reil in 1964, 11 siblings and a granddaughter, Sarah Dashnaw.
A private graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family in St. James Cemetery in Cadyville.
