SCHUYLER FALLS — Alvin A. McKinley, 54, of the Campsite Road, Schuyler Falls, died Monday, Jan. 6, 2014, at his home.
He was born in Plattsburgh, April 24, 1959, the son of Edward and Dorothy (Bushey) McKinley.
Alvin was a lineman for PTTI in North Carolina. He recently returned to the North Country to be closer to his family.
He loved bingo, visiting yard sales, and attending auctions.
Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Mindy and Ryan Smith of Plattsburgh; son, Brandon McKinley and fiance, Chelley Covey of Chazy; grandchildren, Sierra, Patience, and Ryan Jr.; brothers, Edward McKinley Jr. and companion, Robin of Plattsburgh, Randy McKinley and wife Carol of S.C., Kenneth McKinley of Plattsburgh, and Adam McKinley of Plattsburgh; and his beloved, and loyal canine companion, Bandit.
He was predeceased by his parents; and brother, Roger McKinley.
At Alvins request there will be no public calling hours. A memorial service will be Jan. 9, at 7 p.m. Thursday, at the Hamilton Funeral Home, 294 Mannix Road, Peru with Deacon John D. Lucero Jr., officiating.
