PLATTSBURGH — Joyce M. Johnson, 80, of Truman Ave., went home to the Lord, Wednesday Jan. 1, 2014, at CVPH Medical Center. She was born in Plattsburgh on July 30, 1933, the daughter of Napoleon and Florence (Rougier) LaTour.
Joyce was a member of St. Peter's Church. She worked as an office manager for Golden Gate for 35 years before retiring. Joyce was an avid Bingo player, and enjoyed watching her programs on TV.
Survivors include her siblings, Beverly Charland, Gloria Mastowski, Carol Webster, Bonnie LaTour, Judy Gudz, Cyd Foote, Deborah Mellilo and Maureen Cluette; a sister-in-law, Alice LaTour; several nieces and nephews. Joyce was predeceased by her parents; six brothers and five sisters.
Calling hours will be held from 9 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. Monday, Jan. 6 at the R. W. Walker Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. at St. Peter's Church in Plattsburgh. Burial will be in the parish in the spring.
