PLATTSBURGH -- — Hilda H. Floyd, 84, of Lake Forest, Plattsburgh, passed away on Wednesday, Feb. 26, 2014, at the CVPH Medical Center with family by her side.
She was born in Willsboro, N.Y., on Feb. 22, 1930, the daughter of Albert and Constance (Higby) Hayward.
She married Clark Floyd on April 15, 1948 in Essex, N.Y. They lived in Westport N.Y., until moving to Lake Forest in Plattsburgh in 2000. Hilda enjoyed a brief stay at Vilas Home in Plattsburgh, N.Y. Since Clark's passing in 2002, Hilda enjoyed yoga, painting, knitting and various other crafts. She enjoyed spending time and talking with family.
Survivors include her children, Roxanne and her husband William O'Toole of Choctaw, Okla.; Duane and his wife Barbara Floyd of Plattsburgh; Lori and her husband Raymond Perry of Pelham, N.H.; Grandchildren, Steven Floyd and wife Donna of Wichita, Kan.; Marcia Smith and husband Gary of Choctaw, Okla.; Heidi Livsey and husband Steve of Plattsburgh; Karri Collins and husband Tim of West Chazy; Duane Floyd and wife Melissa of Morrisonville; Courtney Perry and fianc^ Nicholas DelCore of Yorktown, Va., and Shannen Perry of Pelham N.H.; along with several great-grandchildren.
Calling hours will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, March 1, at the R.W. Walker Funeral Home in Plattsburgh. A service will immediately follow at 1 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Burial will take place in the spring at Lakeview Cemetery in Essex, N.Y.
