CHARLESTOWN, N.H. — Janice M. (Williams) Baker, 67, of Charlestown, N.H., died peacefully on Feb. 23, 2014, at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, N.H., with her loving husband Joe by her side.
Janice was born on Dec. 19, 1946, in Plattsburgh, N.Y., to the late John and Florence (Clark) Williams. Janice graduated from Peru High School in 1965. She married Paul L. (Joe) Baker on Oct. 30, 1965. She resided in Plattsburgh until moving to Charlestown in 1999.
Janice was an avid bowler, loved fishing, bingo, camping, and riding motorcycles with her husband Joe,
Janice is survived by her husband Paul L. (Joe) Baker of 48 years of Charlestown; daughters Michele Baker and partner Raymond Baker of Claremont, N.H., Melissa Manabat of Plattsburgh and Rebecca Lafountain and husband Glenn of Keeseville, N.Y.; son Christopher Baker and wife Leisa of Plattsburgh; grandchildren Brandon Trombley and partner Brittany Goodchild, Justin Baker and partner Amy Bell, Tiffany Beese and partner James Perry, Kevin Beese and partner Alizra Poirier, Brittany Beese and partner Hakeem Lee, Olivia Baker, Madison Baker, Makenzie Baker, Kennedy Baker, Precious Lafountain and partner Shawn Lautenshuetz, Cody Lafountain, Austin Lafountain; great-grandchildren Brook Trombley, Brie Trombley, Bryleigh Reese, Laela Perry, Amya Perry, Roman Lee, Stormy Lautenshuetz; sisters Carol Maxwell and husband William of Newburgh, N.Y., Margaret McQuarrie and husband Jim of Spencer Port, N.Y.; brother Paul Williams and wife Sue of Morrisonville, N.Y.; sisters-in-law Colletta Williams of Coral Springs, Fla., Katherine Williams of Plattsburgh, Anna Reil and husband Charles of Plattsburgh, brothers-in-law Norman Baker and wife Elizabeth of Cadyville, N.Y., Francis Baker and wife Jeanette of Morrisonville; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and life time friends.
She is predeceased by her parents John and Florence Williams; mother and father-in-law Francis and Hazel Baker; brothers Wayne, Walter, and John Williams; sister Vivian Rock; and brother-in-law, Joseph Rock.
A Celebration of Life will be held from noon to 4 p.m., on Saturday, March 8, at the Veteran's of Foreign Wars in Peru, N.Y. Salvation Army representative Frank Smith will officiate a prayer at 1 p.m. Burial will be in the spring at Peru Cemetery.
