WESTPORT — Theresa B. Floyd, 83, of Main Street, died Sunday, Feb. 23, 2014, at her home. She was born June 29, 1930, in Keeseville, the daughter of Francis F. and Margaret (LaMountain) Bezio.
Theresa grew up in Keeseville and graduated from Keeseville High School. She later received an associate's degree from Becker College in Worcester, Mass.
Theresa was the bookkeeper for her husband's company, Carl R. Floyd, Inc. for over 30 years. She also worked at Champlain National Bank, Westport, and lastly MLM Agency, Westport, prior to retiring.
She loved traveling and spending time with family and friends.
Survivors include her daughter, Tammy Bigelow and husband Keith; son, Alan Floyd; grandchildren, Jordan, Jeff, Amanda, Justin, Amy, Court, and Kayla; great-grandsons, Adam and Jackson Quigley; sisters-in-law, Viola Bezio, Kathryn Bezio, and Tina Way; and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents; husband, Carl Floyd; daughter-in-law, Tammy Floyd; grandson, Adam Floyd; sister, Victoria Barber; and brothers, Francis A., Robert, and Sherman Bezio.
Calling hours will be held 1 to 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 26, at Hamilton Funeral Home, 294 Mannix Road, Peru. A Mass of Christian burial will follow at 4 p.m. at St. John's Church in Keeseville, with Rev. Alan D. Shnob celebrating. Burial will be held Friday, May 2, at St. John's Cemetery in Keeseville, following a 9 a.m. Mass at Immaculate Conception Church.
