PLATTSBURGH — Eileen Cox Roecker, 85, was reunited with her husband Robert Roecker on Tuesday, May 14.
She was born to Solomon and Dora (Renken) Cox on April 1, 1928, in Colorado Springs, Colo.
For 55 years she was the devoted wife of Bob until his death in 2003 when she relocated to Plattsburgh, N.Y. to be near her grandson Jed Peterson and his young family.
Eileen was preceded in death by her sister Gloria, and her son, William Roecker and is survived by her daughter Kathleen Buxton of Stiffkey, England, grandsons Jedidiah Peterson of Lebanon, N.H., Gabriel Peterson Meerts of Northfield Minn., William Roecker of Denver, Colo. and Clifford Roecker Claremont, Calif..
Eileen took great pleasure in having six great-grandchildren. Eileen loved beautiful flowers and cultivated African violets, roses and peonies at her home in Colorado Springs. Eileen enjoyed many activities including games, socializing, knitting, crocheting and craft projects.
A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, May 20, at Pine Harbor Assisted Living in Plattsburgh. Burial to follow in Colorado Springs, Colo.
