Daniel R. LaDuke


---- — KEESEVILLE — Daniel R. LaDuke, 51, of Mace Chasm Road, passed away suddenly March 22, 2013, in Keeseville. He was born in Niagara Falls, N.Y., Aug. 28, 1961, the son of Walter and Angi (Hebert) LaDuke.

Dan graduated from Willsboro Central School Class of 1980, from Plattsburgh State University with a bachelor's degree of science, and from Clinton Community College in 2011 with a degree in nursing.

For many years, Dan was a certified arborist, owning and operating North Country Tree Service for 20 years. Most recently, Dan was a Community Health Nurse with HCR Home Care in Plattsburgh.

Dan was a family man who cherished his animals, friends, and family. His generous spirit touched everyone he met, and he always had a smile to share. Dan's boundless energy and curiosity for life was an inspiration. He was happiest being outside with his loving wife and four-legged friends.

He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Michelle (Coonrod) LaDuke of Keeseville; his daughter, Emily Coonrod and her husband Arthur Turlak; his parents, Angi and Walter LaDuke of Plattsburgh and Lake Panasoffkee, Fla.; a sister, Denise LaDuke of Plattsburgh; a brother, David LaDuke and his wife Laurie of Jericho, Vt.; nieces and nephews, Nicole Bombard and husband Jon, Joanne Pelno and husband Ken, Lauren LaDuke, Casey LaDuke, Lacey Ahrent and companion Joe, Riley Ahrent and wife Candice, Rosie DeLise and companion Justin Turlak, Tim DeLise and wife Siyi Xu, and Jack Malek; several aunts, uncles, and cousins; and his devoted four-legged pal, Emmett.

Calling hours will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, March 27, 2013, at Hamilton Funeral Home, 294 Mannix Road, Peru. A celebration of his life will follow at 7 p.m. at Hamilton Funeral Home.
