ELLENBURG DEPOT - James "Jim" Collins, 35, passed away from a long battle with cancer on Saturday, Nov. 23, 2013, at him home with his family by his side.
Jim was born on Dec. 16, 1977, to John and Donna (Cook) Collins in Potsdam, N.Y. the youngest of four children. Jim graduated from Colton Pierrepont School on 1997.
Jim worked at Nova Bus in Plattsburgh, N.Y. Jim's hobbies include auto repair, wood carving, motorcycle riding, spending time at the family camp, going to car shows and spending time with his family.
Jim is survived by his loving wife, Marsha; 3 children, Harmony, Delaney, and Keith; his brothers, Joseph Collins and wife April; nieces, Ciara and Taryn from Saranac, N.Y.; William Collins and wife Becky; niece, Avery; nephew, North from Parishville, N.Y.; Randy Collins companion Chrissy Swyers from Canton, N.Y.; his Parents, John and Donna Collins from Russell, N.Y.; grandparents, Donald and Lula Mae Cook from Hermon Dekalb, N.Y.; Donald and Brenda Guerin, his in-laws; and brother in-law, Nick from Ellenburg Depot, N.Y.
Jim was predeceased by his grandparents, Keith and Marge Collins.
Friends and Family may celebrate his life from 3 to 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 27, at the Ross Funeral Home in Ellenburg Depot, N.Y. A gathering to honor Jim's life will follow services at the Northern Lights VFW on Rt. 11 in Ellenburg.
