BURKE — A Dickinson Center teen is facing charges after allegedly stabbing her boyfriend.

According to Malone-based State Police, Brittany A. Reome, 17, was riding in a vehicle driven by Austin Dunlavey, 20, on Aug. 29, when she took a small steak knife out of a bag.

Reome then stabbed the vehicle’s center console multiple times, police said, before stabbing Dunlavey in the shoulder.

Dunlavey was treated at Alice Hyde Medical Center in Malone, where he received seven stitches and was released, according to police.

The incident was reported on Friday, and Reome was arrested at 6:50 p.m. Saturday at 280 Spencer Road in Burke.

She was charged with assault with intent to cause physical injury with a weapon, a class D felony, and fourth-degree criminal mischief, a class A misdemeanor.

Reome was arraigned in Town of Malone Court and released under supervision probation.
