Police Log: Dec. 24, 2012


SARANAC LAKE — Michael P. Lamora II, 41, of Saranac Lake was arrested for criminal mischief third degree, a felony, for allegedly damaging a woman’s vehicle, according to Saranac Lake Village Police. Lamora was arraigned in Saranac Lake Village Court and was released under the supervision of the Franklin County Probation Department. He will reappear in Village Court at a later date to answer the charge. An order of protection was issued against Lamora.

SARANAC LAKE — Jessie R. Call, 25, of Saranac Lake was arrested Dec. 20 on a charge of grand larceny fourth degree, a felony. During a lengthy investigation Saranac Village Police allegedly discovered that Call had stolen over $1,000 from a local business. She was arraigned in the Saranac Lake Village Court and was sent to the Essex County jail in lieu of $10,000 cash bail or $20,000 bond to reappear at a later date.

MALONE — Tiffany C. Richichi, 22, of Albany, was arrested Dec. 22 in Malone. Richichi was charged with introducing dangerous contraband

into a prison and with unlawful possession of marijuana.


PLATTSBURGH — A Plattsburgh woman was injured in a two-car accident near the intersection of Brinkerhoff and Wells streets at about 10 a.m. Friday.

According to Plattsburgh City Police, the parties involved were Kayla M. Collins, 26, of Plattsburgh, driving a 2000 Chevrolet, and Todd Estes, 35, also of Plattsburgh, driving a 2010 Toyota pickup truck.

Collins told police she was eastbound on Brinkerhoff when Estes turned onto Brinkerhoff and the right front of his pickup truck struck the left rear of her vehicle. Estes told police that Collins cut in front of him causing the left rear of her vehicle to hit the right front of his vehicle.

In either case, Collins’s vehicle spun nearly 180 degrees following the collision and struck a tree. Collins was transported to CVPH Medical Center with complaints of neck and wrist pain. No tickets were issued because police were unable to make a determination at the scene as to which account was accurate.
